The first Virtual International Conference: Translation of Languages for Specific Purposes (CIVTRALFE2015), which will take place from the 9th to the 15th of March 2015, has the following objectives:
- Providing the international scientific community that develops its activity and research on LSP (languages for specific purposes) with a meeting point and a chance to exchange ideas.
- Encouraging the exchange of experiences around the topic of translation of LSP among the international scientific community.
- Publicising the research results on the translation of LSP.
- Promoting the scientific updating of researchers in the translation of LSP.
- Being an axis of convergence of research results on LSP concerning Italian, offering a hands-on seminar, “The translation of languages for specific purposes: Italian versus other languages”. .
With the aim of improving the resources and facilities that new technologies offer, the first CIVTRALFE2015 is presented in two formats: a Virtual Conference that focuses on different aspects which affect the translation of LSP, and a hands-on seminar (that may also be available online) focused on the field of translation of Italian for specific purposes versus other languages, and which will take place during the Virtual Conference at the Facultad de Filología of the University of Seville.
